Disability Statistics
According to the IL Department of Human Resources--Office of Rehabilitation
Services, at least 90,000 persons under age 65 with disabling diseases live
in DuPage County. This is consistent with DuPage County statistics that
approximately 10% of any non-elderly population is disabled. This group is
chronically under-employed and many need SSDI benefits or Public Aid
assistance to make ends meet.
