Freddie with BonnieAccording to the Illinois Department of Human Resources’ Office of Rehabilitation Services, at least 90,000 persons under age 65 with disabling diseases live in DuPage County. This is consistent with DuPage County statistics that approximately 10% of any non-elderly population is disabled. This group is chronically under-employed and many need SSDI benefits or Public Aid assistance to make ends meet.
